The Material

The fine patterns in the grain of the steamed ash proceed in straight lines. This indigenous wood is heated for a short time to ensure that it is able to absorb less water. The nut-brown shimmering surface is then oiled and polished so that neither shaving lather nor soapy water stands a chance.

Black Fiber resembles natural badger hair but is more robust and durable, and slightly softer at the tip than the natural material.
